The LuxuryNames featured auction will be held on the SnapNames platform from November 18-24.
The List
The final catalog contains over 200 high quality names with 80% having a reserve less than $1,500 and the majority being .com extension. You can download the full catalog using any of the links below.
Pre-Bids
Pre-bids will be accepted from interested parties by simply backordering the desired domain in your current SnapNames account. Once the auction starts on November 18 you will be automatically notified of its commencement by SnapNames and be placed in the auction.
How did we choose the names?
We reached out to domainers who we felt had domains that were (a) reasonably priced (b) worthy of investment (c) ripe for development and (d) rarely, if ever, seen in a special event before. The majority of these names have never been offered for sale in such events as TRAFFIC and we wanted more than anything to step up the quality of names. Of course, some will disagree as we all have a different definition of quality however we do believe the final catalog represents a very good quality of names with very reasonable prices across a number of verticals such as Insurance, Education, Debt, Travel and more.
Who Owns the Names?
All the domains in this auction are from a variety of sources including both domain investment companies and individuals. This is not an auction solely for our names. The inventory was handpicked from a wide range of sellers who have quality names and were willing to submit them with very reasonable reserves.
Fulfillment Process
Winning bidders will enjoy the same fulfillment process currently used by SnapNames for all other auctions with the exception of finding your name in a funky registrar called potatonamesinthesky or something similar. Over 90% of these names are at Moniker for ease of fulfillment with the remaining 10% either (a) held in trust by respectable owners or (b) currently in the transfer process. Fulfillment for almost every name won will take place within 24 hours of auction close and payment just like the majority of current auctions at SnapNames.com. The few that are not at Moniker may take a few extra days however those names are owned by people who we have strong relationships with and are respected in the domain name industry.

Yes, something FREE will be announced by Chef Patrick on or before Wednesday, November 18.
Can you still submit names?
Sure, however we are only looking for high quality names with LOW reserves. With over 400 emails from private owners this week regarding submissions we did find a few that fit our catalog parameters and will stay open to consider any additional domains up to November 17th. Please note that due to the abundance of email correspondence we have received it is impossible to reply to everyone personally but we are most certainly looking at all domains submitted for consideration.
What are our Expectations?
We have one single expectation and that is to make buyers and sellers happy. The domain industry is going through somewhat of a fickle stage at the moment giving the world economy, recently published news and the lack of liquidity for many domain owners. Our expectation is not to generate $1,000,000 from this auction but to bring more exposure to quality names which may have never been giving the chance to be featured in a special events auction if submitted elsewhere. As for a monetary goal – we will let you and the market decide.
