About the Auction

First and foremost we wanted to help bring better quality to auctions. A lot of great auctions are already in place so domain owners have a choice however searching through 2,000 or 5,000 names every month, and then include drop lists, special events, newsletters and more -  well, you can see how tiresome this becomes even for the most dedicated investor. The inventory for this particular auction includes just over 200 domains handpicked for quality, exact search, age, development and investment potential with 80% of the catalog having a reserve less than $1,500. NameMedia has been publishing data for years that the most popular price points for domain name sales where both end users and investor feel most comfortable is under $5,000 and we have worked day and night for weeks to try get a worthy inventory of quality domains with even lower reserves.

Why did we choose the SnapNames platform?

SnapNames continue to be the leading online auction platform in the domain business and their customer service, fulfillment process, sisterhood with Moniker and the people there – such as Monte Cahn– are hands down some of the finest in the industry.  We realize the current news surrounding SnapNames has cast a very negative light on the company and the industry as a whole however there are still hundreds of quality people there who work day in and day out to provide domain owners and investors the best tools available to search, buy and bid on domain names. We obviously do not condone any such behavior by a former employee of SnapNames however we do believe that most domain investors will continue to build their portfolios and go on with business as usual as this incident is not reflective of long term goals for those serious in this business.

This auction will be held online from November 18-24 online at snapnames.com however interested parties can still prebid by simply viewing the catalog when it becomes available online and entering the desired name(s) in your list of backorders within your SnapNames account. If you are familiar with extended T.R.A.F.F.I.C. auctions or other special featured auctions on SnapNames the format of this auction is exactly the same.
